Although she did not produce any offspring for us, "Zan" was truly our foundation mare serving as an perfect example of the type of Morgan we would like to breed. Bred by the legendary Mohican Farm in Ohio, Zan had 2 crosses to the famed Tio Lalo on both sides of her pedigree, through the palomino cutting champion Californio by Tio Lalo and through her dam, Primavera Bella Mia by the Californio full brother Cinnabarr.
Zan was Christina's first Morgan and came to her as an 8 year old8-year-old unbroken broodmare after producing 2 fillies for Connemara Morgan Farm in Ohio. Zan spent many hours wandering trails, jumping fences and being the best friend four -legged friend of every girl's dream. An ambassador for the breed, she gathered a fan club wherever she went. She spent time teaching beginners to ride and introducing young riders to the world of hunter horse shows.
Zan was a joy to have in our lives and we still miss her dearly. We are hopeful for the future and are cheered by the fact our first foal is due to make its appearance on July 23-Zan's foaling date.
